We’re located along the Civic Center Park walking path between AZ 88 and the Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts in the heart of Old Town Scottsdale.

Where should I park?

There is a free parking garage (Center for the Arts Parking Garage) off of E. 2nd Avenue that puts you right behind Pinyon and AZ 88.

What type of food does Pinyon serve?

Pinyon celebrates the flavors of the Mediterranean coast, inspired by all 22 countries along the sea—from Spain and France to Italy, Greece, and Lebanon. Our menu features dishes cooked over a Barcelona-made Josper grill and oven, with an emphasis on fresh seafood, open-flame grilling, seasonal vegetables, and house-made breads and spreads. Expect bright flavors, shareable plates, and an easy elegance that feels both refined and relaxed.

Can I make a reservation?

Yes! We offer priority seating reservations for your convenience. Upon arrival for your designated seating time, your party will be accommodated at the next available table. Typically, guests are comfortably seated within 10-15 minutes of their priority seating reservation. You can book online or by calling us directly at (480) 863-8990. We also gladly welcome walk-in guests, and our team will do their best to seat you promptly.

For parties of eight or more, please call the restaurant so we can make special arrangements.

What does the name “Pinyon” mean?

The name Pinyon is inspired by the pinyon pine, a native tree of both the Mediterranean and the American Southwest. It is known for its resilient roots and flavorful pine nuts. It symbolizes our connection between the Mediterranean landscape and our Arizona home—where warmth, gathering, and good food are part of everyday life.

Does Pinyon have a bar?

Yes. Pinyon features two full bars, each offering Mediterranean-inspired cocktails, a curated coastal Mediterranean-inspired wine program, and an inviting atmosphere perfect for a spritz at sunset or a nightcap under the stars.

In the main dining room, our bar allows for a view of our open kitchen and the heart of the restaurant. “Upstairs at Pinyon” you’ll find our second bar experience with both indoor and outdoor seating, panoramic park views, and its own unique energy.

We also serve non-alcoholic cocktails, espresso, and tea, crafted with the same care and attention as our full bar offerings.

Does Pinyon offer Happy Hour?

Yes. Happy Hour is available daily from 3–7 PM in designated areas of the restaurant. Enjoy $9 hummus and dips, $11 select small plates and all signature cocktails, $9 house highballs, $8 wines, and $7 draft beers. Ask the maître d’ for seating details.

“Upstairs” at Pinyon overlooks Scottsdale Civic Center Park, featuring its own bar, restrooms, and a wraparound balcony — an elegant setting for rehearsal dinners, corporate events, and welcome receptions.

For more intimate gatherings, “The Basement” at Pinyon offers a cozy, private escape with its own entrance and restroom, perfect for smaller celebrations or business dinners. And for open-air occasions, “The Terrace” provides a lush, park-side backdrop surrounded by trees, blooming flowers, and warm Arizona light — ideal for cocktail receptions or family-style feasts under the stars.
